I can quickpkg everything under /usr/kde/4.2 if you're looking for a fast install. You'll need to go back to the days of kdeprefix though ;)
BTW, watch out for some blocker packages with plasma, and also you need to have an "accessibility" use flag on gtkmm, "webkit" on PyQT4. These things crap out half way and don't alert at the beginning of the mammoth emerge.

fixed the use flags. the one app that had some build issues was kitchensync. i --skipfirst'd it, that can wait :D
also, i finally went the "eix -Ic | grep kde | xargs emerge" way. "emerge -u world" didn't cut it.
